"California Connoisseurs" (GOOD VALUE) 69% Cabernet Sauvignon; 18% Merlot; 13% Cabernet Franc. Reasonably well-defined, mid-density character of cassis and rich loam is buttressed by a quiet veneer of creamy oak in this soft and open wine. It would be better off without its slight pucker in the latter palate and finish, but not many Cabernet-based wines at the price offer as much to like as this one. GOOD VALUE
