Solid, deep ruby color. Perhaps BVs best Merlot to date, this vintage reveals ripe, deep cherry-plum scents, with subtle earthy, herb and chocolate aromas mixed with licorice. On the palate, the wine is medium full-bodied, with sweet, rich, Merlot dark cherry flavors fleshed out by ripe tannins and a touch of vanilla from the oak. Though powerful, it is supple, with mouth-filling texture, yet not overripe or lacking in fresh fruit flavors. A touch of earthiness adds nuance and depth in the finish.
